Introduction
These Terms and Conditions govern the purchase of tickets and attendance at the Interdisciplinary Conference on Psychedelic Research 2026 (the "Conference"). By purchasing a ticket or attending the Conference, you agree to these terms. If you do not accept them, please do not purchase a ticket or attend.
The Conference is organised by Stichting O.P.E.N.: Onderzoek naar de Psychedelische Ervaring Nederland (the "Organiser"), KvK: 34279004, Sinderenstraat 6, 1107 TN Amsterdam, Netherlands.
Tickets and Payment
Tickets must be purchased via the official ticketing platform designated by the Organiser. All sales are final and binding. Tickets are exempt from VAT under Dutch tax law; no VAT invoice will be issued. Any fees charged by banks, credit card companies, or payment providers are your responsibility. Tickets are valid only for the named holder and for the indicated edition of the Conference.
Refunds, Cancellations, and Transfers
No refunds are available after purchase, except where the Organiser cancels the Conference with no suitable alternative, in which case the ticket price will be refunded. If the Conference is postponed, tickets remain valid for the rescheduled date; refund requests may be considered case by case if you cannot attend the new date. Programme changes (speakers, sessions, schedule) do not entitle you to a refund. You may transfer your ticket to another participant up to 30 days before the Conference, or donate your ticket to the Organiser's charitable activities.
Participation and Conduct
All participants must behave in a professional and respectful manner; harassment, abuse, discrimination, or disruptive behaviour is not tolerated. The Organiser may refuse entry or remove any participant for inappropriate conduct without refund. Participants must comply with the Conference Code of Conduct. Possession or use of illegal substances is prohibited. Badges must be worn and visible at all times; they are personal and not shareable. You are responsible for any damage you cause to the venue, equipment, or property. The Organiser may seek reimbursement and remove you from the event if necessary.
Filming and Photography
Photography and video recording may occur for documentation and promotional purposes; by attending, you may appear in images or recordings. If you do not wish to be photographed or filmed, notify the Organiser in advance at info@icpr-conference.com; reasonable efforts will be made, but complete avoidance cannot be guaranteed.
Intellectual Property
Conference materials (presentations, slides, abstracts, handouts, recordings) are protected by intellectual property laws and remain the property of the Organiser or the respective speakers. Names, logos, and trademarks of the Conference and the Organiser may not be used without prior written permission. Materials are for personal, educational use only and may not be reproduced or distributed without consent. Attendees may not record or live-stream Conference sessions without the Organiser's prior written consent.
Liability
Attendance is at your own risk. The Organiser is not liable for personal injury, illness, or loss of/damage to property, except where directly caused by the Organiser's gross negligence or wilful misconduct. The Organiser is not responsible for lost, stolen, or misplaced belongings. Participants are responsible for their own travel, health, visa, and other insurances; accessibility needs will be reasonably accommodated if communicated in advance.
Force Majeure
If the Conference is cancelled or disrupted due to circumstances beyond the Organiser's reasonable control (including natural disasters, pandemics, strikes, government action, or venue unavailability), liability is limited to a refund of the ticket price. The Organiser may deliver a digital or hybrid alternative; in such cases tickets remain valid and no refunds are issued.
Privacy and Data Protection
The Organiser processes personal data in accordance with applicable data protection laws, including the GDPR, for registration, ticketing, event operations, and related communications. Limited sharing with service providers may occur for operational purposes or where required by law. See the Organiser's Privacy Policy on the Conference website for details at https://www.icpr-conference.com/privacy-policy.
Changes to These Terms
The Organiser may amend these Terms when necessary and will inform ticket holders of significant changes (for example, by email or website notice). The latest version applies from publication; continuing to hold a ticket or attend indicates acceptance of the updated Terms.
Governing Law and Disputes
These Terms are governed by Dutch law. We aim to resolve disputes in good faith. If a dispute cannot be resolved amicably, it will be submitted to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of the Netherlands.
